Coronavirus: Chinese Government Set to Destroy Bank Notes Collected From Corona Virus Hit Areas



Chinese government is set to destroy bank notes collected from Coronavirus hit areas in other to stop spread of the virus. The people's bank of China said that they are targeting bank notes collected from hospitals, Markets and buses. Those notes collected from these areas will be destroyed. Other notes will be disinfected and stored for 14 days. The people's bank of China ordered that bank notes which are found in areas where the outbreak have hit the most, must be collected for immediate destruction.



Commercial banks are expected to separate the cash collected from these high risk areas for proper disinfection. The method which will be used for disinfection is the usage of high temperature and ultraviolet light. The currency will be stored for 14 days before it goes back into circulation.
All these essential measures is to make sure that the country stops the spread of the Coronavirus in China.
