Actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd Shot Dead In Atlanta

 Actor, Thomas Jefferson Byrd, known for his roles in Spike Lee films, has been shot dead in Atlanta. He was aged 70. 

The actor was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in his back in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, the Atlanta Police Department confirmed.

Paramedics pronounced Byrd dead at the scene on the city’s south-west side, where he lived.

Police spokesman, Anthony Grant, in a statement said homicide detectives were working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
