T.I. Sued By Former Employees For Fraud
T.I.
is in legal trouble once again. Subsequent to reaching a $78,000
settlement in February with a group of workers from his closed down
restaurant, Scales 925 in Atlanta, the rapper is being sued for fraud by
the same group.
T.I is blamed for laundering $40,000 to himself and business partners, rather than paying off the settlement he owes to the previous representatives of Scales 925, The Blast gave an account of Monday (Aug. 6).
In court records obtained by the site, the claim states T.I. settled a $40,000 claim with a business partner and concealed the money from his lenders, keeping the cash for himself.
The previous workers say the Atlanta rapper just paid them a portion of what they were owed and think they should’ve gotten the $40,000 he got.
Opened in 2015, T.I’s. Scales 925 closed a year later after being faced with different issues, including NBA player Glen Rice Jr. being shot in the leg at the restaurant in 2015. Scales 925 was additionally hit with an eviction notice for owing over $1 million in back lease.
