Kevin Hart Surprises 18 Students With College Scholarships
Kevin Hart teamed up with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and
Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) to surprise 18 students with
scholarships to complete their college degrees totaling $600,000.
The students were chosen based on academic and personal achievements and “may receive substantive renewable awards based on need,” according to a press release from UNCF, which bills itself as the largest provider of college scholarships for students of color in the US.
The comedian/actor posted a
photo of himself with the recipients on his Instagram page on Tuesday
with a promise. “This is just the beginning people!!!! My “Help From The
Hart Charity” is about to do a lot more!!!!!”
