Andy Ruiz Refuses To Fight Anthony Joshua In The UK

\

Heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr has surprisingly stated that he wont be fighting Anthony Joshua in UK for their highly anticipated rematch, a move that has stunned boxing fans all over the world.

Ruiz made his known following news of Dillian Whyte’s doping allegations. Whyte, 31, reportedly failed a drugs test days before his victory over Oscar Rivas last Saturday in London.

Ruiz reacted to the news on Twitter by dropping a bombshell that he will push for the rematch in the US instead of the UK.
“I’m not going to the UK for the rematch #issasetup,”  he tweeted.

Ruiz responded to one fan by saying that he wants a “fair playing ground” for his rematch and the fact that “Rivas had no idea about it is a bit sketchy.”
However, Eddie Hearn was quick to respond to the claims, saying both Rivas and Whyte underwent extensive drug testing with Voluntary Anti-Doping Association and UK Anti-Doping Agency, and were cleared to fight.
Ruiz Jr hit out at Hearn and Joshua after hearing the news, saying, “I’m not going to the UK for the rematch.” Joshua has not failed a drug test as a pro and his team have repeatedly referred to him as the most tested boxer in the world.
