Idris Elba Would Never Commit To One Woman ~ K. Michelle
K. Michelle was linked to Idris Elba in a relationship she says “was
like a movie.” The exes met at the Soul Train Music Awards in 2013 after
Michelle won Best New Artist.
They exchanged numbers and their love affair began. Chatting with Hollywood Unlocked, the “Can’t Raise A Man” singer explained how she kept their business on the down low, not wanting to seem like she was using him for fame.
“We would go out [but] I didn’t talk about [the relationship],”
she said. “I wanted him to know that I wasn’t trying to pull anything. I
never wanted to be that girl. Everyone around me knew, his management,
my management. He was so charming, it was like a movie.”
Although Idris seemed like the perfect man, there was one thing he told Michelle he couldn’t do. “He told me, he would never be committed to one woman. He said I would be taken care of, I would be fine but he would never commit to one woman.”
Seeing as that’s what led to their relationship ending, it came as a shock when Idris proposed to his now fiancee, Sabrina Dhowre, back in February.
“Men are different with different women,” Michelle said of his move to settle. “That wasn’t supposed to be my man. Out of every relationship I’ve been in or [men] I’ve dated, I learned the most from him. It wasn’t volatile or angry.
He didn’t bring out [me] cursing him out. He was a gentleman…[and gave] amazing head, I remember that.”
